Welcome to our Coco Tierra!!
cocopeat
The manufacturing process of coco peat in our factory is typically more efficient and automated compared to small-scale production. The use of advanced machinery and quality control measures ensure that the final product is of high quality and meets customer requirements.
Coco peat, also known as coir pith or coir dust, is a byproduct of the coconut industry and is widely used as a growing medium in horticulture. The manufacturing process of coco peat involves the following steps:
Apparently we had reached a great height in the atmosphere, for the sky was a dead black, and the stars had ceased to twinkle. Apparently we had reached a great height in the atmosphere, for the sky was a dead black.
The soaked coconut husks are fed into a machine called a decorticator, which separates the fibers from the pith or coir dust.
The coir dust is then sieved to remove any remaining fibers, stones, or other debris.
The coir dust is thoroughly washed with water to remove any salts or other impurities.
The washed coir dust is then dried using various methods, such as sun drying, hot air drying, or kiln drying. Sun drying is the most common method used for small-scale production.
After drying, the coir dust is sieved again to remove any remaining impurities and graded according to particle size.
The coir dust is then compacted into various forms, such as bricks, discs, or slabs, using machines.
The compacted coco peat is then packaged and shipped to customers.
